|LaGuardia’s Vision Summit, held in early February 2009, was a unique effort to bring together a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and community leaders to decide the core directions that LaGuardia should pursue in the next five years.
On March 20, 2009 the workgroups for the four strategies developed at the Vision Summit –leadership for a sustainable future, harnessing Web 2.0 technology, educating for a global citizenry and redefining the role of community colleges in higher education- met to discuss the ideas developed by Vision Summit participants. The President’s Cabinet then reviewed the workgroups recommendations and began to discuss how to transform these ideals into realities.
As we begin to implement these strategies, our goal is to continue to have an inclusive process that benefits from the wealth of creative, diverse thinking that we have here at LaGuardia.
