Student Services
As you can see from the list on the
left, LaGuardia offers many services to
help you succeed.
The internship program provides opportunities
for you to explore different career
options and gain work experience for
your resume in your desired field of
work. Youre also able to apply what
youre learning in the classroom to the
real world work youre doing.
The International Students Office is
dedicated to serving our valued
international student population. The
colleges two Veterans Affairs Centers,
one each for degree and non-degree
students, provide information, guidance
and referrals.
The
college has a wonderful, highly
supervised
childcare center and a Pre-K - 2nd
grade school on our
campus for children of our students.
The College Discovery and COPE programs
have dedicated staff to help students
enrolled in those programs.
LaGuardia also has the largest,
most active Program for Deaf Adults
within The City University Of New York.
Our Office of Students with Disabilities
has been recognized by the media for its
commitment to their students, who
contribute meaningfully to LaGuardias
diversity.
The Transfer Services Center and
website are important resources for
students who plan to transfer to a
4-year college. The Center invites
senior colleges to visit our campus and
speak with students throughout the year,
provides individual counseling, sponsors
semiannual transfer fairs, and hosts
free day trips to local colleges.
