HUBZone Training Opportunities from DLA Land & Maritime

DLA Land and Maritime's Office of Small Business Programs will be hosting Manufacturers Capability - Socio-Economic Program Set-Aside Request (SEPSAR) Webinar targeting all Hubzone manufacturers and Native American PTACs. The one hour webinar will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2014 beginning at 2 PM, Eastern Standard Time. VA Plans national conference in Atlanta on December 9 - 11, 2014

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is holding its 2014 National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE) conference on December 9-11, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The VA conference is designed to help small businesses — especially veteran owned and service-disabled veteran owned small businesses (VOSBs and SDVOSBs) — expand contacts and build partnerships to maximize opportunities in the Federal and commercial marketplace.

Mandatory GSA Schedule Modification

GSA has announced GSA Schedule Mass Modification number A382 relating to Manufacturer Part Numbers on Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Price Lists.

This Mass Modification is mandatory for both product and service providers. On June 17, 2014, GSA began sending out the Mass Mod for Manufacturer Part Number to all applicable contractors. The purpose of this modification is to reinforce the requirements of clause I-FSS-600 Contract Price Lists (Oct 2013) and clause 552.238-71, Submission and Distribution of Authorized FSS Schedule Price Lists.

Introducing DLA Land & Maritime's "Tip of the Week"

DLA Land & Maritime's Small Business Office is providing "Tip of the Week" to make sure that clients are well aware of the resources available through their website and how to use those resources for contracting success.

Tip of the Week – Navigating the Small Business Website.

We want to provide some basic keys to how you can find the information you need on the site. Our web site is essentially divided into three sections:

  • The Office of Small Business Programs “home page”, which largely outlines a variety of contracting opportunities
  • The Business Counseling Center (BCC) page, which provides information on contracting support resources for both new and experienced suppliers
  • The Training Knowledge Opportunities (TKO) Program page, which provides the schedule for upcoming TKO seminars and Webinars, as well as information on how to register for them.

The pages are designed so that you can navigate between them by using the links at the top, left portion of each web page, just below our banner. You can also go directly to each section by using either “DLA TKO”, “DLA BCC” or “Land and Maritime Small Business” in your internet search engine.
