LPAC Lab
LPAC is located on a college campus of 50,000
full-time enrolled and adult continuing
education students from 163 different countries
and is a part of the vibrant and multicultural
neighborhood of Western Queens. It is committed
to being an “inclusive” performing arts center,
which has a unique and exciting audience base
and two world-class theaters to offer artists
for the development and showcasing of their
works. We are now probing deeper into the NYC
talent pool for artists that need to be seen.
Not everyone has a venue, and
the recently expanded LPAC Lab
is committed to making sure that performers can
find a stage, rehearsal room, skilled
technicians, and encouraging audience members to
develop their original work in progress.
Our focus is to forge relationships with NYC
based artists and companies whose work relates
to multiculturalism and issues of social
justice, as well as offering performing arts
companies and artists the opportunity to develop
and perform their work.
The LPAC LAB will be composed of three
categories:
LAB 101
LAB 201
LAB 301 is designed to establish
year-long residency opportunities for more
established organizations.
