The Nutcracker December 22

By Staff

The timeless holiday classic, The Nutcracker, will be performed at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center on December 22.

Ballet for Young Audiences, a professional children’s theater group that is returning to the college after its successful run last year, presents a colorful and fast-paced production, featuring all the familiar characters—Herr Drosselmeyer, the mysterious clockmakers; Clara, his favorite godchild; and the Nutcracker Prince. The production, which is performed by young dancers, is narrated to ensure that the young theatergoers can follow the story.

After the performance, visit Santa’s Toyland where children can tell Santa their holiday wishes and receive a gift from Santa’s little helpers. Santa’s Toyland is co-sponsored by the LaGuardia Alumni Association.

The performance will be held in the Mainstage Theater. The event begins at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10. Group rates are also available. Call ext. 5151 for tickets.
