Prof N. Agbim attended the 1998 annual conference of the American Library Association held in Washington, DC. She presented a paper, "Organizational Change in the Era of Technological Challenges: Structuring an Environment Conducive for Learning" at the June 28th meeting of the Library Administration and Middle Management Discussion Group held at the Marriot Metro Center.

Professors N. Agbim & L. Fluk attended a full-day, institute on "Managing Educational Services: Teaching and Learning in Libraries," sponsored by the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) and developed by the Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA). It was held at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York on July 10th, 1998.

L. Chung recently completed the course "Networking Essentials," offered by LaGuardia's Division of Continuing Education.

Professors F. Egger-Sider and L. Fluk co-published an annotated bibliography entitle& "Transforming Education for Librarians: A Selected Bibliography". This was in conjunction with the 1998 Library Association of the City University of New York Institute entitled: The New 3 Rs: Retooling, Retraining, Revitalizing: Transforming Ourselves for the Future, held May 15, 1998 at Baruch College.

Prof.  F. Egger-Sider attended a SUNY/OCLC workshop this Spring titled "Windows 95 and Subject Searching on the Internet Part I".

Professors. J. Devine, F. Egger-Sider, C. Lewis, T. Parker, K. Riccardi, L. Spain and C. Stenstrom attended the 1998 LACUNY Institute, entitled"The New 3Rs: Retooling, Retraining, Revitalizing: Transforming Ourselves for the Future," on May 15, 1998 at the Newman Library, Baruch College.

T. Parker conducted a television studio production workshop this past Spring for the Queens Urban Partnership in collaboration with the College Bound Project.

He also directed and co-produced a public relations and orientation video for the Job Placement Office of the (Continued on page 9)
