The Circulation Department is pleased to offer two
improvements in service.
Renewal By E-Mail
To request renewal of LaGuardia books, send an e-mail message to the following address:
cirlg@cunyvm.cuny.edu
Include in the message:
- your name;
- the bar-code number on the College ID under which the
books were borrowed. The bar-code number has 14 digits and begins with the number 2. If
your ID is a CUNYCard, the bar-code number is on the bottom right of the card after the
word"library,"
- the bar-code(s) of the book(s) you wish to renew. Book
bar-codes are on the inside back covers and they begin with the prefix 3 3324.
Confirmation and new due dates will be sent to your
e-mail address within two business days.
All other renewal policies remain in effect:
- Books must belong to the LaGuardia Library.
- Books can be renewed only once.
- Books on hold for another patron cannot be renewed,
- Books more than five days overdue will not be renewed.
Fine policies remain unchanged.
Books will not be renewed if there is a block on your
record.
Renewal Without The Book(s) In Hand
It is no longer necessary to bring to the LaGuardia Library the books which you want to
renew. in order to renew, bring to the Circulation desk your ID card and the bar-code
numbers from the inside back covers of the books (14 digit number with prefix 3 3324).
