How To Make A Request

Check LaGuardia's holdings first (i.e., CUNY+Plus & LaGuardia Periodicals) to ensure that j the Library does not own the item.

Complete an Interlibrary Loan Request Form for each item requested. Forms are available from the Reference Desk and Circulation Desk in the Library.

Include the following information on requests:

<Patron:    name, dept., and extension
<Books:    author, title, publisher, date
<Periodicals:    author and title of the article, title of periodical,
    Vol. and issue no., date and pages required
<Source of Reference; a photocopy of the source is very helpful & can save time

Completed request forms may be submitted at the Reference or Circulation Desks.

Items That May Be Borrowed

Most books and articles in magazines, journals and newspapers can usually be obtained through the interlibrary Loan Service. Dissertations and very recently published books (the current calendar year) are difficult and/or expensive to obtain, The Library does not limit the number of interlibrary loan requests made by LaGuardia faculty and staff.
