| Technologically
speaking within the Library context, the electronic future is now. Although books and
other traditional print resources are not in any danger of disappearing soon, if ever, at
all, numerous electronic resources are being created and in a very fast pace. The supercatalogs serve as the gateway for accessing these resources. Right now, the Big Picture points towards the trend of creating and implementing the virtual Library. The Faculty and Staff of the LaGuardia Library have been taking sure and steady steps to create a technological environment that provides access to the resources of remote Libraries and information centers for our family and students. The latest accomplishment in this endeavor is the creation of the Library Home Page which can be accessed at http://www.lagcc.cuny.edu/library Although this home page is still under construction, it constitutes a major first step towards the gradual process to implement the Digital Library at LaGuardia.
