DEADLINE
The 18th Annual Library Research Review Competition is
now underway. The deadline for submitting papers is July 9th, 1998.
Co-sponsored by the Faculty Council, the research competition provides students with the
opportunity to demonstrate their research capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Participants will be required to demonstrate their ability
to conduct a brief literature search and incorporate relevant sources into their research
papers.
- Entries must be papers written for a course taken at
LaGuardia during the 1997-98 academic year.
- The papers must be accompanied by an annotated
bibliography.
- The papers must be submitted by the individual student or
by faculty.
AWARDS
- All participants will receive a Certificate of
Participation.

- The First Place Winner will receive a $100 U.S. Savings
Bond and an Outstanding Academic Achievement Certificate.
- The Second Place Winner will receive a $75 U.S. Savings
Bond and an Outstanding Academic Achievement Certificate.
- The Third Place Winner will receive a $50 U.S. Savings
Bond and an Outstanding Academic Achievement Certificate.
- The Collegiate Bookstore will provide gift
certificates: First Place - $50, Second & Third Place - $25.
- Winners will be invited to attend the Honors Night
Ceremony to receive their awards.
RULES
- All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form
and submitted to the attention of Professor Clementine Lewis at the Reference Desk
(Library, Room E-101).
- All entries are judged by a panel of faculty and staff
members.
