Professors N. Agbim, J. Devine, L. Fluk, M. Johnson, F. Egger-Sider received an Electronic Doorway Library Services Demonstration Grant from the NYS Education Department, Division of Library Development.

Prof. Jane Devine, as our Federal Depository Librarian, attended a conference sponsored by the Department of Labor, Labor Statistics Bureau held in New York City, January 29, 1998 at the Sheraton Hotel.

Prof. Michael Johnson gave a seminar titled "Matisse's Chapel at Vence" at the CUNY Graduate Center, on December 17th, 1997.

Prof. Clementine Lewis wrote "Promoting Library Research:  The Research Review Competition," Research Strategies 15:2 (Spring 1997), p. 112-116.

Prof. Ken Peeples, editor of Community Review announces the publication of volume XV, 1997.

Prof. Ken Riccardi attended the School for Scanning, hosted by the Northeast Document Conservation Center on November 3rd, 4th & 5th, 1997.

He also attended a conference "Disaster Preparedness for Libraries & Archives", given by the Long Island Library Resources Council on March 6th, 1998.

Prof. Louise Spain edited Dance on Camera: A Guide to Dance Films and Videos, Scarecrow Press, Inc. 1998.

She also presented at New York Library Association Annual Conference, Syracuse NY, Nov. 1, 1997 and at the New York University Film School, New York City, February 25, 1998.

Prof. Christine Stentrom attended the conference "The Book and the brave New library" (Nov. 21, 1997) - sponsored by the Greater new york Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of College & Research Libraries.
