Home and Remote Access for Students

We are happy to announce that InfoTrac and other databases are now available to all CUNY students and facultv from home. You can search InfoTrac, print articles, save to your own disk, etc. You will have the same access you now enjoy on campus. This will make it easier for students and faculty to complete research.

Go to the CUNY Office of Library Services link at ( http://libraries.cuny.edu), and click on "Licensed Resources". Any database identified with a green "house", can be accessed from home. When you click on InfoTrac, you will be asked to supply your barcode number, which appears in the bottom right hand corner of your CUNYCard. You must be registered with the Library and your account must be active. If you have not used the Library in some time, please come in and update your card at the Library's Circulation desk. After entering the whole number, you will be able to search InfoTrac.

Other databases will be offered for remote use soon. So keep checking "Licensed Resources for the latest developments.

InfoTrac's Business & Company Resource Center

InfoTrac has added more content to its Business & Company ASAP database and reissued it with new capabilities and a new name, the Business & Company Resource Center. This database contains all of the information previously offered, plus additional company profiles, company brand information, rankings, investment reports, corporate histories and chronologies. Many standard print sources issued by the Gale publishing company have been added so that titles like Ward's Business Directory and the business section of the Encyclopedia of Associations can be accessed through the database.

You can use the Business & Company Resource Center either through the Library's home page [http://www.lagcc.cuny.edu/library] or through the CUNY Office of Library Services home page [http://libraries.cuny.edu]. There is an online guided tour of the database available at [http://www.gale.com/BusinessRC/07.html]. If you have any questions, please contact Jane Devine, x5415, or Scott White, x5441, for more information.
