Ethnic NewsWatch is a full-text collection of newspapers, magazines and journals produced by ethnic, minority and native presses. These resources are fully searchable, completely indexed and provide another view of contemporary issues. Materials are offered in Spanish as well as English and the database includes materials dating back to 1994.

ARTFL Project is a research collection for scholars and students in all areas of French. The full-text materials in the collection represent French language texts from the thirteenth through the twentieth century. Included are language resources such as dictionary and word study materials, special collections of Provincial poetry and French Women Writers, an encyclopedia and much more by way of cultural items.

Sociofile and ERIC are indexing and abstracting services provided by Cambridge Scientific. Sociofile offers access to Social Services Abstracts and Sociological Abstracts. ERIC, the educational database, here shares a common interface with the other two resources and all can be searched simultaneously or independently. All the databases start in 1994.

PsychINFO is a database produced by the American Psychological Association. It is an index to over 1,400 journals and materials covering psychology and related fields. Most entries will include an abstract.

CINAHL, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature has previously been a part of the LaGuardia Collection in print and then in CD-ROM format. In this web version it will offer up-to-date indexing for over 800 nursing and health publications.

Local LaGuardia Library subscriptions offered campus-wide:

IDEAL, which stands for International Digital Electronic Access Library, is a collection of 174 full-text Academic Press publications with some other titles thrown in. The collection has titles that might be of interest to most subject areas, that can be searched and which are offered from 1996 to the present. Searches can be made for individual titles as well as across the entire database.
