Prof. N. Agbim, Prof. J. Devine, Prof. F. Egger-Sider, Prof. L. Fluk, Prof. C. Lewis,
Mr. T. Parker, Prof. L. Ramos, Prof. K. Riccardi, Prof. L. Spain, and Prof. C. Stenstrom
attended the 1999 LACUNY Conference on Digital Libraries held in New York City in May 1999.
Prof. F. Egger-Sider attended "Immersion '99" sponsored by the Association of College
and Research Libraries' Institute for Information Literacy at SUNY Plattsburgh, July 23rd - 28th.
This Institute for Information Literacy was designed to improve librarians teaching methodology
and help in the implementation of an information literacy program on their respective campuses.
The two most meaningful components for the LaGuardia Library Media Resources Center are the need
to make information literacy part of the College curriculum as a whole, and the need to develop
appropriate assessment tools at every level of the instruction program.
Prof. L. Ramos published "Murder in the library... or stories that actually happen in
libraries day after day and that people seldom find out!" in The Unabashed Librarian,
Number 111, 1999.
Prof. K. Riccardi received a Certificate in Computer
