As we move toward the end of semester, when everything is due, I thought this post by on focus might be helpful. Papers can be very overwhelming. I like this post because it reminds you (in different ways) to take things slowly and stay focused on what you're doing. I think calmness is the most underrated step in the research process.
This is kind of interesting. Someone discovered a High Definition DVD security encryption key and the key has spread all over the Internet like wild fire. The news site Digg.com tried to prevent people from posting the code, but ultimately had to give up. Looking at Digg this morning, you can still easily find the code. A Google search for HD-DVD encryption key also seems to turn up a number of ways to find the key. I've heard people say nothing is a secret once more than one person knows something. I wonder if the new saying is that nothing is a secret once it's online in one place.
