Google Shakespeare?
Google set up a page where users can read through Shakespeare's plays online.
The page is here: http://books.google.com/googlebooks/shakespeare (new window). The page in honor of Shakespeare in the Park, held in our very own Central Park. So if you like reading books online, this could be a great page. Otherwise, it's just an interesting idea.

Welcome Back!
Welcome back!
Don't forget -- all of your text books are on reserve at the Circulation Desk. Just ask for them by title. You can use them for two hours at a time inside of the Library.

Telephone Reference
The Times had an article on New York Public Library's telephone reference service (new window).
That's a service where you can call and ask a librarian a quick question (they don't go more than five minutes). Interestingly, a third of their "calls" now come from either chat or email. Which is a good reminder that we have our own email service, which you can see here: http://www.lagcc.cuny.edu/library/forms/ask.htm. And just as a note to the Times: All three of the city's public libraries have telephone reference services!

CUNY Radio Podcasts
CUNY Radio is offering some interesting podcasts you can download and listen to on your MP3 player. You can see them here: http://www1.cuny.edu/forums/podcasts/?page_id=12
(new window). There are a lot of interesting features: CUNY sports talk, book discussions, and lectures. If you're looking for something different to listen to this summer, it could be interesting.

Travel Blog
LaGuardia's own Nya Naikyemi S. Odedefaa is travelling in Egypt and keeping a wonderful blog with both photos AND video. Oh. And writing, too. It's a really beautifully assembled blog that makes you feel like you're out there with Nya.
You can see the blog here: http://iyatala.blogspot.com (new window). I love a lot about the Internet, but one of my favorite things about it is how it lets anyone be a newspaper and lets us all share experiences.
