THE ASL-ENGLISH INTERPRETATION
PROGRAM
|
The
Pre-Interpretation Mini Program is for individuals who are
preparing to enter the American Sign Language-English
Interpretation Program. Participants must be serious ASL
students who interact regularly in the Deaf community and have
studied American Sign Language for at least two years. This
mini-program includes: Advanced ASL I, Advanced ASL II, and
Sociology of American Deaf Communities. |

American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Studies - Associate's Degree
A program in ASL and Deaf
Studies is also offered at LaGuardia for individuals wishing
to augment their preparation for the Interpreting program
or prepare for other types of work with the Deaf population.
