The most important lesson I have learned in my internship is the knowledge I gained from having the opportunity to make calls to different sites that give sevices to disabled children. The services that help them get through,as far as the academic programs they can take in college or in a regular public school.Lots of the children at that internship were developmentally disabled and for them to be able to go to a computer class is amazing to me and I was glad that I could make the calls that would get them in those types of programs,I was able to get a lot of disabled children into computer classes and physical education classes I felt like I was making a bit of a difference.I learned the different help they can recieve from residential habilitation to a regular home attendant that travel with them everywhere. In my internship I mostly enjoyed reading the file of the client because there I learned a lot about the children, sort of like knowing them without actually meeting them.
