How can students participate in the Honors Program?

  • They may enroll in individual Honors courses (which will be considered as Honors Participation) if they meet the minimum requirements.
  • Students may also choose to be involved in the comprehensive program (The Honors Concentration) following the Honors curriculum, and completing a minimum of 20-22 Honors credits (7 Honors courses).

Who Should Consider the Honors Concentration?

  • New students at LaGuardia who have a B+ or above high school average, and would like to complete the Honors Program Concentration. Permission from the Honors Program Director is required.

  • Current LaGuardia students who have completed 12 college credits and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.2, and would like to complete the Honors Program Concentration.
