Boston University (Office of Sponsored Research)
Boston University assigns each funding opportunity a number and lists them roughly in chronological order. Clicking on an item reveals a wonderfully-constructed information page that identifies the agency, the program name, the objectives, eligibility restrictions, deadline, funding information (i.e., overall level of funding, funding available for each grant, and length of projects), contact information, additional remarks, and link to the RFP website. The list of funding opportunities can be viewed in useful categories: humanities, social sciences and education, medicine and public health, science and engineering. A wealth of information to help one decide whether to read the entire RFP. |

Something a little different. A collection of more than 100 e-mail lists (i.e., listservs) that link teachers and researchers for discussions and announcements on specialized topics. The range of topics is fairly astonishing. Examples: Primary Sources in African Studies, American Religious History, Anti-Semitism, Appalachian History and Studies, Art History, Animal Studies – and those are just a few examples from the A’s. H-NET also collects online reviews of books, videos, software,
websites, conferences, films, museum exhibits, etc. in its separate and searchable “H-NET Reviews” section. Still another section collects announcements regarding calls for papers, conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops, fellowships, and funding opportunities. |
