The Grants Office provides pre-award services to faculty and staff at LaGuardia Community College by assisting with funding research, recommending funding opportunities, interpreting guidelines for grant proposals, collaborating with faculty and staff in writing proposals, and assisting with formulating budgets, interpreting college regulations, and addressing compliance issues. In addition to tracking all grants submitted and awarded, pre-award services also include functioning as a liaison between faculty and staff and both the CUNY Research Foundation and the LaGuardia Community College Foundation.

The Grants Office provides post-award services to grant recipients by overseeing personnel, payroll, and purchasing procedures in close coordination with the CUNY Research Foundation. The Grants Office is also available to assist in faculty and staff in their use of RF electronic systems related to funding activity and with issues relating to benefits and personnel.
