Emergency Loans

LaGuardia Community College offers emergency loans for students who find themselves in an emergency financial situation and need money to pay for typical living expenses such as utilities. Depending on the situation, we offer an emergency loan of up to $250.00 to students who are expecting to receive financial aid. In many cases, emergency loans can be distributed to students within 24-48 hours, or at times the same day.

Typically, emergency loans are due within 30-60 days and are guaranteed against anticipated financial aid funds.
