I grew up in Kansas (wheat farmers, cattle trucks, blizzards and tornadoes, the works) and spent much of my life in the West: Colorado, California, Oregon, Texas and Alaska. I came to New York to go to graduate school, and I stayed because my wife won't live anywhere else. I taught for two years at a University in Saudi Arabia. Life without my wife wasn't any fun, however, so here I am again.
