In addition to teaching at La Guardia, Michael has taught speech, drama, and creative writing at Brooks College in Long Beach, California. He has also taught acting at the Van Mar Academy in Hollywood. Under State and Federally funded projects, he has developed and produced cultural arts/performance festivals, including the founding of the City Spirit program in Jersey City. He has worked in television and film for major Hollywood studios, and written, produced, directed, and/or designed theatrical productions for Off Broadway and independent stages in New York and other cities. He has produced and directed
Italian Matters, a monthly video magazine, as well as various theatrical programs aired on MNN public access cable. His creative writing portfolio includes plays, screenplays, and music.
