    The Academic Internship Manager reports to the Associate Dean in the Division of Academic Affairs and is responsible for developing external internships for the College's Associate Degree programs and work with Academic departments to link internships to associate degree programs. 

    The successful candidate will understand the job market, liaise with employers in the community and the New York City area as well as collaborate with the College's Division for Adult and Continuing Education to identify industry based partnerships for the New York State Job Linkage program.  The Internship Manager will assist faculty in developing community based partnerships for inclusion as members of their respective program advisory boards.  The Academic Internship Manager will create and monitor an internship database and assess the relevance of the internship experience to the Academic program.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    DPT degree; New York State License to practice physical therapy. Member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Three to five years of clinical experience in physical therapy with expertise in orthopedics and sports, and athletic training background strongly preferred.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
