Kenneth J. Yin holds an AB from Cornell University and an MS in linguistics from Georgetown University. He has been the faculty mentor for the Chinese Club at LaGuardia since the fall semester of 2004. His current research interests include the English-language learning process of students from China, as well as the Dungan language and literature. His translation of the Dungan folktale “Jondaje the Pheasant Hunter” appears in Esopus, issue 5, published in fall 2005. He has also written for Idiom, a publication of the New York State Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (NYS TESOL).
