Name: Jane Selden Jane Selden received her MA in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University. In addition to teaching ESL for over twenty-five years, she has served as the editor on several learners dictionaries: Longman Dictionary of American English (first edition), The Newbury House Dictionary of American English, and The Basic Newbury House Dictionary. She is also the co-creator, with Mary Fjeldstad of the Communications Skills Department, of a Web page for the book Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years.
