LaGuardia Community College, along with other CUNY campuses across the city, has been invited by Eugenio María de Hostos Community College and Medgar Evers College of The City University of New York to participate in an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to the African influence on the cultures of the Americas. The proposed conference will be hosted one day at each participating campus and is scheduled to take place during the November 2006 CUNY month celebration.
LaGuardia Community College will host the conference on Tuesday, November 7th
and will feature a dynamic academic program and interactive children’s activities that address “The African Influence on the Construction of Identity in the Americas”.
