• Digital Storytelling

  • Drawing on the power of story and the excitement of new digital tools, digital storytelling has emerged in recent years as an intriguing approach with potential to build student learning. Digital storytelling takes many different forms, but essential elements include the student use of digital multimedia authoring software to create content-rich narratives that integrate music, image, and narration. Helping students tell important life stories and connect with challenging academic content, faculty have used digital storytelling to link literacy skill-building activities into sustained student-authored multimedia projects.

Since 2004, the CTL has offered several 8 week long seminars, assisting faculty in a variety of disciplines who are exploring the uses of digital storytelling.
