With an A.S. in Criminal Justice from LaGuardia, you can pursue employment with the following agencies that require 60 credits or less:
  • New York City police officer: 60 credits
  • New York City correction officer: 39 credits
  • New York City firefighter: 15 credits

Jobs that students could qualify for with an A.S. Degree:
  • New York City police officer: 60 credits
  • New York City correction officer: 39 credits
  • New York City firefighter: 15 credits

With both the LaGuardia A.S. and the John Jay B.A., you can:
  • Pursue employment with the FBI, New York City Department of Probation, Drug Enforcement Agency, New York State Division of Parole, just to name a few.
  • Pursue an M.A. or Ph.D. program in forensic psychology, criminal justice or forensic science.
  • Pursue a law degree
