The Road Ahead: Experiential Education for the 21st Century April 9, 2010
LaGuardia Community College is pleased to announce a conference on April 9, 2010, sponsored by the Cooperative Education Department: The Road Ahead: Experiential Education for the 21st Century
Innovation in Experiential Education
When LaGuardia Community College was founded in 1971, it became the first community college in the nation to include Cooperative Education in its overall mission and to require all full-time day students to complete coop internships as part of their academic program. Nearly 40 years later, we still pride ourselves on innovations in the field, and we invite scholars and practitioners to share their insights with us and discuss the future of experiential education.
The Road Ahead: Experiential Education for the 21st Century
This conference will provide opportunities for papers and presentations that address exciting practices and innovations in experiential education. We look forward to thought-provoking discussions on how the global economy and technological advances and implications (including ePortfolio and Web 2.0) affect our work. We also want to hear about learning communities, internship outcomes, and research and assessment
