• Over 2,500 immigrants served in the last four years at no cost to the students.
• Faculty and Staff have developed and published national demonstration curricula in the areas of health literacy, customer service and civics education for English Language Learners.
• Faculty and staff have published in national journals on topics as varied as teaching reading and writing to English Language Learners; using the arts in classes for immigrant workers; and teaching American history and culture to immigrant adults.
• Sponsored the “Bridge of Opportunity” conference, one of the first national conferences on workforce development for English Language Learners.
