The College Discovery Resource Center (C-410) is a friendly and supportive learning center open only to College Discovery students. In addition to studying in a quiet place, students can come to the Center for the following activities:

• Receive tutoring
• Use textbooks, videotapes,compact disc programs,microscopes and study guides in our Resource Center
  
• Type term papers and print them
  
• Internet research for course work
  
• Use BlackBoard to communicate with professors and classmates
  
• Submit homework on-line
  
• Check student e-mail
  

All CD students are expected to use the Center's resources in their efforts to do their best at LaGuardia Community College.

The CD Resource Center also provides students with the opportunity to receive academic support through preps during the intersessions. Preps are 12 hours of preparation for introduction into college level courses. We offer preps for Statistics, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology.

• Help with setting up study groups - when students request it
• Sign up for Preps - introductory courses for difficult subjects
• Able to schedule weekly tutoring appointments
