2008:

June 11 - 13 - Charlotte Lopez, Cherub Ruiz, and Rachael Wright representedg LAGCC College Discovery Program at the three-day SEEK/CD Leadership Academy Retreat organized by The City University of New York Office of Special Programs.

Students sharpened their leadership skills by attending workshops on a variety of fun and important topics such as The Leadership Power of Great Public Speaking, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Appropriate Dress Attire and Dining Etiquette, and Running Effective Meetings. The retreat was held at Doral Arrowwood Conference Center in Rye Brook, NY.

March 19 - On Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 2:30 pm, The College Discovery Club will hold elections for the new CD Club officers . Please come join the CD executive board which includes President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and SAC Representative. The elections will take place in C-249 conference room. 2007:

July 3 & October 24 - The CD Program inducted ten CD students into the Epsilon Zeta chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society. The induction ceremony was followed by a celebratory luncheon.

April 11th - CD Program sponsored Career and Transfer Luncheon. CD alumni, counselors, and tutors discussed with current CD students various career and transfer opportunities over a delicious catered meal.

April 25th - CD Program celebrated CD students on the Dean's List. CD students also learned about CD's very own Epsilon Zeta Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society.
