Current students and recent graduates of one year or less can receive:

  • Assistance in assessing their skills, developing interviewing techniques and in
    preparing a resume.
  • Full or part-time, permanent or temporary job referrals based on interest, skills experience and class schedules.
  • Invitations to two annual jobs fairs on campus recruitment activities and career fairs.

If you are currently enrolled in a degree program at LaGuardia, show your validated LaGuardia ID card at the Employment & Career Services Center reception desk in room C-102.(A Bursar's receipt will also be accepted as proof of attendance during the first two weeks of the academic term only.)

Recent LaGuardia Graduates

You may register with the Employment & Career Services Center within one year after completing your degree requirements. You will then receive one year of service from the Employment & Career Services Center. Your year of service begins on the day you complete and return your graduate registration card to the Employment & Career Services Center. You must leave a resume to be kept on file in the office.

Graduates of more than one year

Any LaGuardia graduate/alumni of more than one year may use a limited number of services of the Placement Office on a fee basis. These services include:

  • Two half hour individual consultations on your job search and career advancement with a Placement Counselor
  • Invitations to job fairs, seminars and workshops
  • Access to the CUNYJLD Job Bank and printed job leads
  • Opportunity for a Simulated Interview that provides feedback on interviewing skills
  • Access to PCs for writing resumes and cover letters
  • Usage of the Resource Library of books, magazines and videotapes on job and career related topics.

Service Hours

Unless otherwise posted, a counselor is always on duty to see students and graduates during service hours.

Monday & Tuesday
10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
(Students with Day & evening classes and recent graduates)
Wednesday & Thursday
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
(Students registered for Evening 4:35 p.m. or later - classes only and recent graduates.
