Cancellation and Tuition Liability Policy
Effective immediately, the following policy will apply to Bursar Cancellation and Tuition Liability.
If you register prior to the established payment due date for Session I or II and don’t settle your bill (i.e. pay in full, use financial aid, sign up for TuitionPay payment plan, use benefits provided by employer, or make payment arrangements with the Bursar’s office) by the payment due date, your registration for that session may be cancelled due to non-payment.
When you register on or after the payment due date, or during late registration, the College accepts your registration as your bona fide commitment to pay tuition and fees and attend classes. If you decide not to attend, you must officially drop your classes. Should you fail to do so, you will owe the College all tuition and fee charges for the session, even if you did not attend classes.
If you drop classes on or after the first day of classes for any session, you will be charged a portion or all of your tuition and fees. Please check the Tuition Liability/Refund Schedule, which can be found in the Schedule of Classes, to determine how much you owe.
PLEASE NOTE: Student fees (SFA, Tech, etc) are non-refundable if you drop on or after the first day of classes in any session.
STUDENTS WHO DO NOT SETTLE THEIR TUITION BILL BY THE DUE DATE, WILL HAVE THEIR REGISTRATION CANCELLED.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED VIA WEB WITH A MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, AND DISCOVER CARD AT www.laguardia.edu (CLICK ON eSIMS)
