MissionThe mission of the Business and Technology Department is to provide leadership in business education. Our purpose is to nourish educational opportunities by empowering our students to enter the business field either immediately upon graduation or later, as well as to transfer to a four-year institution. Functionally, this is achieved by developing and maintaining relevant curricula for and about business. Our Programs provide knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to employment. We strive to remain accessible, affordable and responsive to individual and community needs in of each functional area of the Business and Technology Department.
We are composed of five programmatic units that represent the following major specific areas of study: Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Managerial Studies, Paralegal Studies and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management. All units constitute a community of interest with the others through mutual goals while maintaining distinct objectives unique to their disciplinary purposes.
