Ordering A Transcript
There are three ways to order a transcript: by mail, in-person or via web (NOT by telephone, email or Fax). "Official" transcripts are mailed to other colleges or employers. Transcripts mailed to students/alumni are labeled "Unofficial".
There is a $7.00 fee for all transcripts, whether official or unofficial, except for those going directly to a CUNY college (these are free). Transcript requests take approximately ten working days to process.
Students ordering a transcript in-person must first go to the Bursars’ Office to pay the fee. If you are paying with a check or money order it should be made out to LaGuardia Community College and include your social security number/CUNY issued ID number.
Write a letter requesting an Official or Unofficial Transcript. State your full name, social security number, approximate dates of attendance at LaGuardia, and a complete address (and name of recipient if known) of where to send the transcript. Be sure to sign the letter.
Send the letter to: LaGuardia Community College, 31-10 Thomson Avenue, Long Island City NY 11101
