Get Involved

The whole point of reading An Inconvenient Truth is to attempt to be part of the solution to global warming—so here is your chance! The following are some of the many organizations that want you to get involved in activities and projects that help the environment.

The LaGuardia Community College Environmental Club

Projects may include planting trees, Long Island City clean-up days, getting out the information about recycling, trying to curb littering, getting involved with the Long Island City Community Boathouse to work on the waterfront, and more. The club would love to hear about your ideas to help the environment as well!

For more information on the club, contact Professor Robyn O’Kane at rokane@lagcc.cuny.edu
