About the Film
An Inconvenient Truth: A Global Warning (2006) is a documentary film directed by Davis Guggenheim and starring former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. The documentary primarily focuses on Gore as he presents an oversize slideshow on global warming and its devastating effects on planet Earth, interspersing vignettes of Gore's life to underscore the personal moments that led him to travel around the globe warning audiences about the catastrophic effects of global warming. The film's end credits then rearrange to spell out a variety of solutions to help solve global warming.
The book version of the documentary, entitled An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do about It, was published at the same time as the film was released.
