CUNYfirst: Important changes to Fall 2012 registration
Advisement and Registration happening separately; email being sent to student accounts via Hobsons Retain. Three working groups have been formed and are finalizing the plans for advisement and registration. As of now, here is the information we have:
- Group 1: Advisement for Fall 2012 will begin on May 1st and end on June 28th.
- Group 2: "Lights Out" June 28 - CUNYfirst LIVE July 18.
- Group 3: Registration will begin on July 20th and end on September 13th
Your input into this plan is welcomed and appreciated. Once the plan is finalized we will distribute it to the college community.
Training - Primary users must claim account by April 30, or will not be able to participate in the training.
Students cannot register until they claim their accounts. They should be advised before June 28th, but cannot register until July 20th. No advisement, No registration (30+ credits exempt). Students who are advised will get the first appointments.
Group 3 will discuss the challenge of registering 18,000 students in 6 weeks (approx. 473 students per day, including Fridays). These hours of operations have yet to be finalized. Registration appointment will be emailed to their LIVE account
