TRANSFER SERVICES

The Office of Transfer Services helps students plan for transfer to four-year colleges.  Staff members are trained to guide students through the CUNY Online Application.  They also help students do research to find out how to select the four-year college that is best for them.  In addition to CUNY transfer, Transfer Services help students explore private college possibilities, including information on scholarships.  The office offers workshops that highlight individual colleges such as NYU, Smith College, Columbia, Mount Holyoke, Vassar, Bard, Sarah Lawrence, and many more.

When should you begin to plan for transfer?  EARLY!!!  Transfer applications are due at least six months before you arrive at the four-year campus.  Visit B-215/216 for detailed information.

CUNY applications are due no later than February 1 for Fall, and September 15 for the Spring term (which starts in January).  Waiting until the last minute may mean you do not get the college you want.  Apply early!

Private colleges usually require a longer application that includes a Personal Statement, letters of reference from faculty, and other documents.  Transfer Services offer help with writing and revising the statement.
