The course will help:
• strengthen your reading, writing and critical thinking skills
• upgrade your knowledge of math up to the college algebra level
• provide you with a range of strategies for becoming a successful student, including time management, test taking skills, study techniques and computer literacy)

Introduction to Wound Care
Take this introductory 6-hour class to learn about general information on wound healing, wound care assessment, the latest National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) staging guidelines, topical would management documentation, and some of the legal issues in this practice. Nurses can earn up to 6 contact hours of professional continuing education units (CEUs).

Introduction to Infection Control
New York State law requires all licensed health care professionals to receive training in infection control and barrier precautions every four years. If you are a licensed health care worker, this 2.5-hour NYS Education Department-approved course will satisfy your licensure requirement and increase your knowledge of new drug resistant pathogens as well as occupational risks and current immunization practices for health care workers. You will also explore new strategies for infection prevention and control.

New York State LPN to RN Transition Course
Responding to the shortage of professional nurses in the area, the New York State LPN to RN Transition course creates a pathway to encourage Licensed Practical Nurses to advance in their careers. This 36-hour course will facilitate your transition from the role of Practical Nurse to that of a student preparing for the role of Registered Nurse. It will validate your prior learning and update your knowledge, focusing on critical thinking and problem solving skills. Upon successful completion of this course you will be eligible to earn a minimum of 12 credits in a participating Associate Degree Nursing program.

Physical Therapy Assistant Exam Review Seminar
Ace the National Physical Therapy Assistant Exam by taking this 14-hour seminar. You will review recent exam questions, trends, study tools and resources; participate in sample activates in eight distinct areas of clinical practice; identify your strengths and weaknesses; and develop effective remedial strategies.
