| Become a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and help make
a difference in people’s lives. Offered in partnership with Community Partnership
Referrals and Resources (CPRR), this program fulfills the New York State Office
of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) addiction counselor
certificate requirements for 350 hours of specific topics for credentialing or
re-credentialing. Upon successful completion of both courses, you will be
eligible to submit your educational hours and obtain your CASAC-T (CASAC-Trainee)
credential; you will also be eligible to earn up to 8 college credits towards a
Mental Health & Human Services Degree at LaGuardia. ND
