| This course deals with an introduction to Latin American literature and its relationship to the dynamics of social change. The course also traces the influence of European, North American, African, and pre-Columbian elements on Latin American literary movements. Topics include pre-Columbian literatures, colonization and exploration, the wars of independence, and abolition. This course is conducted in Spanish. Prerequisite: Placement exam. |
