|Learn to operate basic equipment for shielded metal arc welding, oxy-fuel welding and cutting as
well as choosing proper electrodes. Practice using various power tools associated metal
fabrication. This course is beneficial to students making their way into a welding career or any
occupation that requires welding skills. It’s also valuable for amateur welders as a refresher or
to the home hobbyist. Upon completion, you will be able to set up welding and oxy-fuel equipment
and perform welding, brazing and soldering processes.
Come to class in appropriate clothing: jeans or Carhartt pants, leather shoes/boots, a long-sleeved
shirt /jacket of canvas, cotton or wool. Polyester or other synthetic clothing should not be worn
to class. Loose-weave fabrics are also a safety hazard.
