| This course teaches you how to operate busses, straight trucks or box trucks. Upon completion you
will earn a CDL B with a passenger endorsement. This means you will be able to drive a vehicle with
16 or more passengers. During the classroom portion of your training you will learn the theory and
basic skill behind operating a bus. When you are ready, you will move to road training where you
will learn with confidence how to operate these vehicles safely and obtain the confidence to drive
the commercial motor vehicle in real-life traffic scenarios. Students are responsible for all DMV
fees.
Students Must Have a New York State Valid Driver’s License, and Be Over the Age of 21 with No
Felony Convictions.
Class B CDL includes 9 hrs of classroom time (3 days or nights including weekends), 20 hrs of
handbook instruction, 11 hrs of group road lessons, 11 hrs behind the wheel, 7 hrs of additional
safety (serpentine and blindside backing), and 2 hrs of road tests. |
