Meet Our Teacher Assistants

Nick Ranere

My name is Nick Ranere and this is my 7th summer as a TA in SIELP. I was also a teacher in the Saturday program (IELP) last year. I was born and raised in the Bronx, home of Hip Hop and the 26 time world champion New York Yankees, where I currently work as a substitute teacher in a NYC public school. I like music, playing and watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. I am planning to get my Master’s degree in education to become a fully certified teacher.

Richard Diaz

My name is Richard Diaz.  I am the T.A. for class 2 this year and I think it's cool teaching such an interesting class. My hobbies include: playing sports (basketball, baseball, football of course), learning and try to be as healthy as possible. This is my 3rd year in the SIELP program and I think its really great. I'm learning so much experience from the students and I love teaching them. My goals for the students are to improve their English skills this summer as it is really important for their lives. My expectations for the future are to finish college and graduate as a successful high school teacher, I want to teach high school students I think it will be really great.

Mike Ranere

My name is Mike Ranere. I am 25 years old and from the Bronx. I am a teacher assistant in SIELP. This is my third year being apart of SIELP and loving every moment of it. I also love my leader Igor because he has taught me everything I know about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He also plays a mean game of miniature golf.

Linda Massougbodji

Hi! My name is Assaba Linda Massougbodji. My hometown is Queens, NY, but I was born and raised in Togo (quick, get a world map to find out where this country is! :) ). I just graduated (in June) from Washington and Lee University with a BA in Politics and Sociology/Anthropology. This has been my third summer with SIELP, and I have greatly enjoyed it. The staff at LaGuardia is wonderful. I also love working with this age group (entering 9th graders), and with ESL students. I was an ESL student myself at Newcomers High School in Queens, N.Y. Being an ESL T.A. is my way to give back or pass on what I’ve been taught!

Nickoma M. Ceaser

Greetings my name is Nickoma Ceaser, and this is my first summer working as a Teachers Assistant at S.I.E.L.P. I am currently a psychology major at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck New Jersey. I am also the chapter Polaris for Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated, and Greek Senator for the Student Government Association. When I’m not is school I like to play the bass, guitar and drums.

Hudson Williams-Eynon

Hudson Williams-Eynon is quite possibly the coolest human being alive.  Except for Lance Armstrong.  And Sean Connery.  But besides them.  When he’s not working as a TA in SIELP, which this is his first year doing, he likes to levitate, find lost temples in forgotten jungles, and pursue his career as a secret agent.  If no one attacks him with kryptonite, he expects to live a long and successful life, at the end of which he will retire to his secret fortress and live out the rest of his days surrounded by mementoes of his triumphs and his legions of devoted admirers.
