a) First Time Users - How to Register Steps

Please follow the steps below to register in the CUNY portal and access your LaGuardia Blackboard courses.

• Type in the following URL: https://cunyportal.cuny.edu  
• Click on the link "Register for a New Account"
• Click the link "Student" or "Faculty/Staff"

• Verify your information answering the security questions to create a user name and password.
• Select "Next"and complete the submission.

b) Current Users:

To access your Blackboard account, you need to logon to the CUNY Portal first.
 

• Type in the following URL: https://cunyportal.cuny.edu
• Enter your User Name and Password and click "Login"
• In the APPLICATIONS / RESOURCES module select the link "Blackboard"













 

Find your courses listed in the "My Courses" module located on the right side of the Blackboard home page.

c) Forgot your Password or Username?

You have two choices to reset your password, choose from the following (options) to reset your password in the CUNY Portal.

• Type in the following URL: https://cunyportal.cuny.edu 

1 - Click the link  "Account and Password Reset" (re-validate your account using your confidential information)
 

2 - Click the link  "E-mail a New Password"
Then enter your Username and CUNY will e-mail you a new password to your registered e-mail address.

Existing Portal Users:

If you are a prior portal user, please do not re-register to use the CUNY portal.
