Blackboard New Semester Checklist for LaGuardia Faculty
On September 21st, 2015 CUNY CIS will archive all 2013 courses (Spring/Fall).
After that time, courses from these semesters will nolonger be available in Blackboard.
To have an (already) archived course restored to Blackboard, please send your request through this form:
It will take approximately 3 business days for a course to be restored following the work order being sent to CUNY CIS.

Some existing features have been improved and some exciting new features added to make the user experience more accessible and efficient.
Significant Digits (Surveys, Tests, Pools)
Unable to Attach Files in Blackboard: (Content, Assignment or Mail Message)
No individual file uploaded to a Blackboard course should be larger than 25MB
* If possible, do not allow attachments to discussion board items. This can be adjusted by clicking on the "Modify" button for any Discussion forum and un-checking the "allow file attachments" option.
*Do not share large files over messages or via attachments as this can actually exponentially duplicate the amount of attachments.

4 - Having the browser's security setting for "cookies" too high may be causing the problem. Also, make sure that cookies from third parties are allowed.
Third Party Plug-ins:
Some content within courses may require the installation of third party plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, Windows Media Player, Realplayer, and many others. In each case there should be a notification and link informing you that you need to install a new plug-in. (Be careful that you only install trusted plug-ins that are necessary for the course content).
6 - If you are not getting the attachments window at all, you may have a popup blocker turned on. Pop-up killing or ad-blocking functions are built into some anti-virus, internet security, personal firewall, and browser programs. Although the Browser Checker in Blackboard can check for pop-up Blockers in your browser, it cannot check for pop-up blockers in other programs.
